Metal surfaces getting rusted is a common occurring . Also we have accepted that this phenomenon cannot be eradicated . So the logical solution is to clean the surface from rust, apply primer and then paint it..... and wait again for the painted surface to rust. For critical applications , Engineers use advanced anti rust coatings etc however at high costs.

‘SALVAGE RUST’ - a water based emulsion when applied to the rusted surface reacts with the rust and converts it into a passive coating which is anti rusting. Depending upon the degree of rusting this coating becomes brownish to blackish layer. For aesthetics/ colour coding it can be painted over OTHERWISE this anti rusting passive coating formed ensures no future rusting.
